Typically it is because you changed a loan type that is not compatible with the chosen repayment plan. Choose a new repayment plan and you should be able to update the loan.
Net cost is the actual cost you will likely pay per year at an institution. It includes books, housing and other costs. The sticker price is the advertised price from the institution.
Once you add in a loan our software will assume that loan is the total amount you will be paying for tuition and will no longer use the default loan process. The repayment plan on your loan will affect your projections going forward. The more loans you add the more your score will change.
Until you add in loans or scholarships, our software assumes you are taking out a Direct Subsidized loan (using the current federal interest rate) with a 12 year Standard Fixed repayment plan on the total yearly tuition (for four years) of your chosen institution. Our data is refreshed on a day to day basis and may not be accurate to real time. This data will not be accurate for those choosing a profession that requires more than a four year degree.
